When you think of Omega appliances you might just think of great juicers, but now you can add Omega Blenders to their lineup of quality products.  The Omega BL630 blender is the king of their 3 horse power lineup.

The Omega Blender BL420S which I’ve already reviewed is the base model for the line, missing some of the key features that are included in the BL630.  Of course there is price premium as well, so do yourself a favor and look at both reviews so you can make an informed decision based on your needs and your budget.

So, what are the features that make the Omega BL630 Blender the king of the line?  Plus the features available in the Omega BL420S – 64oz unbreakable, BPA free container, stainless steel blade, and removable cap, the Omega Blender BL630 comes with 1400 watts of power, a touch pad with controls for variable speed with timer, pulse and infinity options. Want precision blending?  Then you want this Omega blender!  The variable speeds and infinity options give you a multitude of options when it comes to blending cycles.  And this is the significant difference between it and the base model BL420S.

Omega Blender BL630 Pros & Cons

Pros:  Powerful – Variable speeds – pulse – Infinity – 1400 watts – Unbreakable container – BPA free – No tamper necessary – No reducing features

Cons:   Pricy

With the lower grade – and granted, cheaper model – you need to be on hand to babysit the machine.  You’ll need to manually fluctuate the speed so that your fruit, vegetables or whatever you might be blending sinks to the bottom in order to come into contact with the blades.  Not a problem with the Omega BL630.  That is handled automatically.  So you can fill up your blender, set your options and walk away.   And just as with the BL420S you’ll be able to blend fibrous, leafy vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds and more, to a smooth velvety consistency.

Unlike the Vitamix Blender, which has a dry container available, the Omega blenders do not have both.  You get the wet container, but you’re still able to effectively blend dry ingredients.

Unlike the Blendtec Blender, the Omega blender does have a removable blade assembly but it should be noted that removing the blade for cleaning isn’t recommended.  I’m not sure on the reasoning behind that, and I know that our blender reviews index page does state that a removable blade is a better choice, but I still wouldn’t make that a deal breaker.  If you immediately soak the blender – blade attached – after use, you won’t have any problems.

All blenders are noisy but the Omega Blender BL630 does have some noise dampening properties which does dilute noise to some extent and gives your ears a bit of a break.

If the included 64oz container isn’t big enough for your needs Omega also has a blender with an 82oz container, the Omega BL660.

This is a great blender.  And no tamping down is necessary!  Omega is living up to the fine reputation is has with its juicers, and you can buy this with confidence.  My personal rating on the Omega Blender BL630 is 5/5.
